Stephen Robertson works with Sanitas Law Group as an associated contract attorney to support the firm when our cases require a larger litigation team.
Beginning his career, Stephen was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas I. Vanaskie in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He then practiced in the litigation department of the nationally renowned firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Washington, D.C. There, he litigated in a wide array of state and federal courts. His practice at Wilkie also included representing targets of Securities Exchange Commission and Department of Justice investigations. At Wilkie, Stephen also defended and tried cases on behalf of a major manufacturer, including cases under lemon laws and under warranty laws. He prosecuted breach of contract cases for a failed partnership and defended the validity of secured transactions in bankruptcy adversarial proceedings. He defended former officers and directors of a public company in litigation involving private securities claims, and he helped shepherd a medium-sized public company through an SEC investigation that resulted in the SEC’s deciding not to pursue action against the company.
Stephen left private practice in 2006 to prosecute in Arlington, Virginia. As a prosecutor, he was in court nearly every day. He has tried numerous cases before a jury, and he has tried hundreds of bench trials. After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Stephen established a general law practice in Denver. His practice now focuses on business litigation and disputes, contract advice, and corporate formalities and entity formation. He applies the skills and perspective he gained from his extensive courtroom experience as a prosecutor and from his work at a top-tier Wall Street firm to every facet of his practice. When Stephen in on your litigation team, you will have another seasoned attorney trained at an elite Wall Street law firm on your side.
